Volunteer Opportunities
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. ~ 1 Peter 4:10
In addition to attending our regular worship services, many of us at Gracepoint are involved in serving God through different avenues.
Church Operations:
Volunteers (leads & interns) help maintain the logistics at Gracepoint to keep our church running smoothly through many areas of service. Here are just a few of the job descriptions:
- Meals and Refreshments Team: Manage the menus and provide snacks and meals for group gatherings.
- Outdoor Activities Specialist: Manage and keep inventory of our camping equipment, trails & hikes to avoid or take and tips on camping and other outdoor activities.
- Child Care Coordinator: Ensure quality child care through training volunteers and keeping our facilities kid-friendly and welcoming.
- Welcome Team: Help greet newcomers by creating an inviting atmosphere at events.
Rotations:
Everyone can get involved in serving in some way at Gracepoint as every ministry group rotates through various weekly needs we have.
- Church cleaning
- Post Sunday worship food prep
- Event set up and take down
Technical / Sunday Worship Service Operations:
Our tech ops and SWS ops teams help to make each Sunday service creative and inspiring by serving in these areas:
- Setup/Takedown Team: It takes a lot of creativity and manpower to convert a public school auditorium into a worship sanctuary. From setting up the chairs to raising banners, there is a lot of work to be done – that is why we start at 8 o’clock in the morning!
- Sound, Stage & Lighting: Enhance the Sunday worship experience and atmosphere through visual design and lighting.
