ABOUT OUR CHURCH
Q. Why are you called Gracepoint?
We adopted the name Gracepoint Fellowship Church because this is the place where so many of us experienced God’s grace. We hope to be a place of grace for many more in the years to come.
Q. What denomination are you?
Q. What is your mission statement and core values? What is your statement of faith?
Gracepoint's mission statement and core values can be found here. Being part of the Southern Baptist Convention, Gracepoint adopts the Baptist faith and message.
Q. How do I become a member?
To become a member of Gracepoint, you must:
- Be a Christian with a written testimony describing how you came to be saved
- Be baptized by immersion (not necessarily at our church)
- Attend & complete the membership class
- Sign a membership covenant.
Q. What is a typical Sunday like?
Our Sunday services have evolved a lot throughout the years, but one core value that drives our services is that we want to creatively and effectively engage seekers and believers alike and to create an atmosphere where we all can worship and honor God together.
A typical Sunday service consists of casual environment, contemporary Christian songs, a relevant message, followed by lunch together at the church. Sometimes, we will have small group gatherings or a rousing time of outdoor sports (weather permitting).
Q. Where can I park?
There is plenty of street parking on the main streets (7th Street, Folsom Street, and Harrison Street) as well as the side streets adjacent to the park (Sherman Street and Columbia Street).
Q. How can I learn more about missions work?
Over the years, we have visited places like Taiwan, Cambodia, China and Mexico. We have gone with agencies such as YWAM and the International Mission Board and been able to make contacts with other missionaries. Looking towards the future, our vision is to be able to recreate the community we’ve built here overseas.
Q. Can I hear a sample sermon?
Yes, each week, we have our sermons available on our online podcast.
Q. I have just started coming out to church and I want to start serving. What ministries are open for new people to volunteer in?
